Sahar Dourgham:
Visual Artist and Professor, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria Uni.
She represented Egypt at the Venice Biennale (2007), and the Sarajevo International Biennale (2012). She received EL Mawred Award (2005), the Best Scenario Writing Award at the Trans-Saharan Film Festival in Zagora, Morocco (2010), and the Alexandrian University Award for Scientific Excellence (2014). She received artistic residencies in Sweden (2001), and France (2011). She participated in the First and Fourth Bibliotheca Alexandria for the Artist s Book, and the Agenda Exhibitions. She held personal exhibitions in Alexandria, Cairo, Sweden and France, as well as several group exhibitions in Alexandria, Cairo, Port Said, Sweden, Sarajevo, Venice, and Ireland. She held several multi-technical workshops in installation artwork and video art. She coordinated several art exhibitions in Alexandria. She has collections in Sweden and Tunisia and Egypt, in addition to collections in at the Egyptian Ministry of culture in 2009 and the Museum of Egyptian Modern Art in 2023. She participated in the 44th General Exhibition at the palace of Arts- Cairo Opera House ground-2024. 2024: I held the “On the Edge” Exhibition at Mashrabia Art Gallery – Cairo. Participated in the 6th edition of” ArtCairo” at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
