Welad ElBalad organized the “From our Town” cultural festival in partnership with the Fayoum Public Library from 11 to 16 December 2014. The event included a local art exhibit, panel discussions and music performances and was attended by local government officials, local artists and a general audience. The head of the library at that time shared this: “We have never had so many people coming to the library before. Perhaps this is the real revolution?”
