Welad ElBalad in partnership with The Planet won its third GEN MENA Hackathon award in 2017 with the project El Sandoq targetting local audiences for better garbage collection in neighborhoods. The award qualified Welad ElBalad and The Planet to compete on the global scale in Barcelona that year.
